Sukkot is a time of celebration. Moadim l’simkha – seasons of joy – is the traditional greeting for this week of continuing appreciation for the harvest and the bounty of the land. The final pilgrimage festival in the seasonal cycle, Sukkot makes it a mitzvah to sit outside in a temporary structure and enjoy the view of the sky, the warmth of the sun, the gentle autumn breezes and food from the earth. At our Little Minyan Celebration we will have a final opportunity to appreciate Sukkot before it ends and our community as it grows. Unlike this photo of a graham cracker sukkah, we will use our graham crackers to construct smores!
